What is a concierge?
The word “Concierge” originates from the French “comte des cierges” meaning “keeper of the candles” during the medieval times.
As the years went by this role changed to gatekeeper, “keeper of the key” they were responsible for greeting guests and attending to their needs.
Today’s concierge is a response to the dilemma of just not having enough time in the day. A personal concierge can help to restore balance between work and life by taking care of your “to-do” list, allowing you to focus on the important things in your life.

Why should I pay someone to do these things for me?
Have you ever wished for just a few more hours in your day? We are sure that you will find that using a personal concierge is value for money as well as a benefit to your lifestyle.

Hours of Operation
We are at your service from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday (Except Public Holidays). Exceptions can be made however; if circumstances require them.
We require 48 hours notice for all requests to schedule a service; however consideration will be taken if an emergency situation were to occur.

What amount of time am I charged for?
Services charged on an hourly rate are charged from the time we arrive at your home/office and until the job is complete, providing you live within a 20 km radius (one way) from our office. Mileage fees of .52 cents per kilometre will be incurred for services outside the 20 km radius.

Cancellations
24 hour notice is required for all cancellations; failure to comply will result in a minimum 1 hour charge.

Can you drive me to my appointment?
Due to restrictions imposed by our insurance company, we are not able to transport clients nor can we drive clients’ vehicles.

Do you take commissions from trades people or third party providers?
No, we do not. Should a third party supplier be required as part of your service, the hourly rate will cover the time of miQwest Concierge and the client will be responsible for the cost of the third party service.

Purchases
All purchases and gift items made on behalf of a client are not included in our fees and will be billed separately.

Do I have to be at home (or my office) when you come to work?
Once we have had an initial consultation, and an agreement has been signed, it is not necessary that you be at home; this is entirely up to you and the nature of the work we are doing.

*Client Referrals
For each new client referred to us by you and who makes use of our services; you will receive one hour of complimentary concierge service, provided you let us know who you referred and ensure they do the same.
